Candles use over 500 million pounds of paraffin yearly, every bit of it made from petroleum. That's a lot of fossil fuel consumption and air pollution. Wouldn't it be nice if there were a way to enjoy the earthy ambiance of candle light without all that pollution and depletion?
Well, thanks to Jill Anderson, now there is. The candles she developed are made from soybean wax, a renewable resource. The wax is specially formulated to burn much cleaner than paraffin. In fact, they burn so clean, they're guaranteed to be soot-free. And everyone loves them! Jill's candles are made in small batches and are available in over 60 scents.
Jill's family-owned business is just a couple of years old, but already it's having a positive impact on the environment. This year, she expects to use between 24 and 36 thousand pounds of Soybean wax in her candles.

You just can't keep Jill out of the kitchen! Building on her success with soy she has developed an innovative soy-based lotion bar - a solid, non-greasy moisturizer, and two liquid soy-based lotions.
Prices range from $7.50 for the Lotion Bar to $16.50 for the Soy Wax 100 Hour Candle .
