Earth Shell - NOTE: CURRENTLY OFFLINE- What do you get when you mix potato starch, water, natural limestone (calcium carbonate) and a small amount of cellulose fiber? A strong, insulating packaging material that's like styrofoam, but much kinder to the environment. After use, it can be quickly composted, and will even break down into harmless materials if it is tossed away as litter. It's currently being tested by McDonald's as a possible nationwide replacement for styrofoam. (7k)
