Jobs

According to the Union of Concerned Scientists, the average person's greatest impact on the environment comes from driving. So, working from home, no matter what the job, can greatly reduce your impact on the environment. Marketing

Working the Web - A nice overview of selling on the internet, as well as an introduction to timeless marketing principles.

Ken Evoy - (Or as I like to call it, Ken's Little Info Empire.) Ken Evoy is a Canadian ER physician turned entrepeneur. He's one of the few "marketing experts" on the web who have actually successfully sold anything other than marketing advice. He started his web career selling financial software to investors, did very well at it, and used what he learned to create what is still the best (and best-priced) introduction to web marketing, MYSS (Make Your Site Sell!). He followed that with the best ebook how-to we've seen for any price, MYKS (Make Your Knowledge Sell!).

Since then he's come out with MYPS (Make Your Price Sell!), a fascinating new tool for product pricing, a copywriter's handbook - MYWS (Make Your Words Sell!), and an incredibly sophisticated automated website creation/hosting tool Site Build-it that's worth a look if you want to sell on the web and don't already have a site. (Maybe even if you do have a site.) The unique thing about Site Build-it is that it automates the marketing aspects of site building as well as the page building.

If you're going to spend any money at all to learn about internet marketing, this is the place to spend it. Ken's prices are reasonable (cheap) and you'll get much more usable information from him than you will from anyone else on the net.

To get an idea of the level of quality, check out his free 5 part "Affiliate Master's Course". He developed it to help his affiliates sell his stuff, but it has a lot of useful information for anyone interested in learning how to sell on the web.

Mal's free e-commerce - The best shopping cart deal out there. You can use it from any website. The only cost is to display a small, unintrusive logo on pages that use the cart. You can get rid of the logo for $5.00/month. There's even a free affiliate tracking system to go with it.

eXtropia - The home of Selena Sol's cgi scripts. If you don't mind a little tinkering, this is one of the first and still among the best sources for free, customizable scripts - shopping cart, guestbook, database manager, authentication, calendar, etc.. There's a huge user community to fall back on for support. And, for the going rates, eXtropia will install and support any of their scripts.
