If you've ever been in Mexico or central America, you know that just like tortillas, the salsa you can buy in a U.S. store bears very little resemblance to the real thing, made from fresh tomatoes, chile, herbs, lime juice, and salt. Since it depends on the flavors of fresh vegetables and herbs, homemade salsa is at its best when these are in season. Homemade salsa is really a concept - some ingredients are fairly standard, others are regional; the proportions are a matter of personal preference.
Mix all together and serve with Homemade Corn Tortillas.
